Rule 1: You decide YOUR FUTURE!!!! God only lays the option's in front for you to choose!!!
You're sitting in front of the television, enjoying your show with a mountain of snacks by your side. Your dad is busy at work, mum preparing dinner, you elder brother at his project and younger sister yelling and screaming on top of her voice. 'Can't study coz dad is not pushing me...his fault'...'Mum's always busy and doesn't care about me either...she's to blame also..'...'Bro can easily help me with my homework but he hasn't has the time...lecturer's fault'...'Sis driving me crazy, obviously her fault!!!'.....
So, everybody's fault except yours?! Well, they may be busy with what their doing but that doesn't mean you can get of the couch and get to the books?!?! Who's stopping you?! Who's holding you back?! Your family?! The television?! The snacks?!
NO!!!!
Your body?! Your legs?! Your hands?!
NO!!!
It's your mind...your heart. You decide what you do.Get up, take your music player, go to your study table, turn on the music and study lights, and start studying. It's that simple.
Rule 2: The truth hurts...SO LET IT HURT THEN!!!
Have bad previous test results?! A string of E's and F's..and a few C's and B's in between. You decide to burn it away so that you won't see it again and hopefully dad and mum won't remember it too.
NO!!
That's not what to do.Frame it up and hang it on the wall.Let it remind you of the failure that you've been through.Let it hurt you. It'll just make you stronger and stronger. To strive harder day by day so that the pass doesn't repeat itself. The fear inside you of seeing the results everyday will give you that extra edge to push hard!!!
Rule 3: Post of failure high on the wall, achievements higher still.
If you have ever had nay good results, by all means, post it on the wall too!!!! And yeah, make sure it's higher than the other bad results you have.No good results ever?! No worries!!! Get a copy of excellent results (classmates if possible) and make a photocopy of it. Edit the name section to something like..."IT COULD BE YOU"..or.."WHO WILL IT BE?! ME OR HIM?!"..Even having your name on it is fine. Just don't use it to cheat you parents and tell that you've passed the test with flying colours!!!

Comment by mira (15/02/2008) Rating - 5 out of 5 I am deeply moved by your rule no 2. All I do is just keep away my bad results so that it son't hurt me. But that way, i realised, nothing new was done, but now, I think I'll post it on my board near my study table to let it be a reminder of my bad results.
