R.Shanthini is a training facilitator in the areas of Finance, Accounting, Budgeting and Cost Control. She graduated from the Royal Melbourne University of Technology with an accounting degree in 1995. She is also a member of the Australian Society of Accountants.
She has worked with a subsidiary in the manufacturing business of an international company, where she was attached to the Finance Division for the past 9 years. During this tenure, she has worked on various domestic as well as international assignments and in the course of her responsibilities, has traveled to countries like Vietnam, Australia and Singapore.
She enjoyed working with others and was responsible for managing a team of accounting staff. Her area of specialization is generating internal and external financial reports, liaison with bankers, internal and external audit matters, expenses analysis, reconciliations, maintaining cash flow, maintaining capital expenditures and ensuring by utilizing cash flow and asset management to maximum benefit for the company.

When I was given the responsibility to prepare the monthly financial reports in mid 1996, within one months I managed to get the reports out by first week of the month which previously took slightly more than two weeks for them to come out with the monthly financial statements. Later when the accounting systems changed to Accpac, I was able to assist in the set up the computerised system and deliver the reports by the first of each month. I was also sent to the subsidiary companies in Vietnam and KL to set up their reporting system. I was able to reconcile and send out all the consolidated accounts by the first week out to parent company.
I was also elected as the treasurer for the Sports Club Committee for Malaya Glass where by I maintained the clubs accounts in proper order whereby the previous leaders misappropriated the funds.
